Corrections Center Visitation Rules

CCNO family and friend visits are non-contact video visits. Adult visitors must show picture ID with date of birth, and the scheduled name must match the ID. Adults are subject to warrant background checks, metal detector screening, frisk search, or other allowed search procedures. An inmate may visit with a maximum of two adults and three children. Minors must be with a legal or custodial parent or guardian, and children cannot be left alone in the lobby or parking lot.

Corrections Center Mail and Money

Corrections Center Booking Intake

CCNO's intake process starts when the booking department receives the inmate. Staff inventory personal property, receipt money, ask identity and background questions, place a wristband, and screen the person through a body scanner for contraband. Booking also includes initial medical and suicide screening, photographs and fingerprints, an inmate handbook, and DNA swabbing when applicable. Participation in booking and health or mental-health screening is required.

New inmates shower, change from street clothing into CCNO clothing, and receive bedding, linen, and a hygiene packet. They are given an opportunity to make at least two collect phone calls, though calls may be delayed for a reasonable time if the person is violent or intoxicated. Newly arrested inmates appear before a judge the next regular scheduled court day, usually by video arraignment, for bond review, counsel review, and the next court date. Classification normally occurs within 24 hours and not more than five days, excluding weekends and holidays.

CCNO accepts public-records requests for jail records by email at ccnoregional@gmail.com, by mail or in person to Public Records Request, CCNO, 03151 County Road 2425, Stryker, OH 43557, and by phone at 419-428-3800 extension 201. The public-records office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Copies are made available at cost, and the listed cost for 8.5 x 11 single-sided paper copies is 25 cents per page.

CCNO lists confidential categories such as medical records, confidential law-enforcement investigatory material, confidential source or witness information, certain techniques or work product, records barred by state or federal law, and Social Security numbers. Corrections Center Custody Distinctions

CCNO is the right source while a Defiance County arrestee or local sentenced inmate is housed at the regional jail.
